Zonta Club of Para District Area Inc.

Welcome to the web site of

Zonta International

is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
The Zonta Club of Para District Area is part of Zonta International District 23 comprising Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

The Zonta Club of Para District Area was chartered on 3 January, 1978, the second club to be established in South Australia.  The late Dr Heide Taylor OAM was instrumental in arranging for women in the northern suburbs to join this special service organisation, and it was only through her persistence that she met her aim in this regard.

Since that time members of the club have been actively involved in providing both hands-on service and financial support to a number of community organisations, largely within the area broadly covering the cities of Salisbury, Playford and Tea Tree Gully.  In addition it has provided financial support to a variety of international service projects organised biennially through the auspices of Zonta International.  All efforts go toward the Zonta aim of empowering women world wide through service and advocacy.

It has been meeting at various northern Adelaide venues since then.  Meetings are usually on the first Tuesday of each month from February to December, but due to Covid-19 restrictions the date, time and venue may differ from month to month.
